In the northern township a local thief has gone missing and a musical instruments merchant has been stirring up trouble. Not far away, a group of heroes was defeated by a nymph.
Someone has been targeting iron merchants in the western province and a new political leader has emerged. In a nearby region, there is a surplus of spice.
There has recently been a moderate change in the weather near the northern desert and there have been reports of hauntings. A dangerous warlord may be involved.

Notable Individuals: Aroandrax, the secretive, passionate magistrate who moonlights as something entirely different. He has few open enemies. Rumors say that he strongly dislikes certain wizards. He can usually be found at the market. He is solidly-built with ruddy skin and platinum blond hair.
Ida', the swaggering, spendthrift trader who recently had a sudden change in alliance. He has been quickly gaining enemies. Rumors say that he is enraged by courtiers.
Foavor, the supposedly philanthropic guard captain who is associated with several questionable events. She seems to have many allies. She can usually be found traveling around the area. She is lanky with a shifty expression and ebony skin.
Vouvaxro, the dashing, very wealthy foreigner who recently had a sudden change in alliance. He has more allies than enemies. Rumors say that he has been having trouble with diplomats. He can usually be found traveling around the area. He is tall with yellow eyes and tanned skin. The well-connected adventurer Ilaekla is his lover.
Army: Enephraom's army specializes in guerilla tactics and the use of clubs. They are, to a lesser extent, known for using ogres and seers. They are famous for enslaving conquered opponents and for fighting while intoxicated. The army is divided in 15 units. Each unit contains 7 battalions of 120 soldiers. This is a standing army of 12,600. At the moment, they are performing purely ceremonial duties.
Current Fashion: This style favors elegant, fitted dark violet garments. Tops are typically long sleeved with very high necklines. Wool and satin and stripes are staples of the style. Grey-brown, bright scarlet, and violet are also common colors. Different castes wear very different clothing.
