SWEET GIGGLES CASE #475

Ray Takahashi, part 2

It had been four days since coming here. Four days since his rage had nearly driven his beloved older sister away, four days since the Sweet Giggle named, Nina, had bombed him with sleeping gas, and he’d been left to rest up. Actually he’d woken up a day in a half later, and had decided he could not lose poor Alora. He agreed to let the girls help him some more.

At first it was just discussions, especially with Nina. He had an easy time connecting to her, as they both had rough lives. And Kary-Lyn was an excellent listener, being mute and having not much to say. That put him at ease. Of course frustration always came back, and his anger made him want to act up… something Nina was happy to challenge. Her mastery of different martial arts quickly put the patient in his place.

Today was the first day he had decided to try the original therapy again, and he found himself laying on his belly, hands held tightly by Grace, while Nina with a smirk was poking and prodding his sides and ribs at lightning speed. Ursa, Lexi, and Kary-Lyn on the other hand were enjoying playing between his toes, which they had spread apart, and tied so they couldn’t come back. Back and forth they sawed their feathers, either giggling at his reluctance to laugh, singing certain songs to pass the time away. Normally they might have teased their patient, but the first day had brought them to the conclusion that wasn’t the path to go with Ray.

“Not in a laughing mood?” Nina joked, pressing her middle finger and ring finger in between his third and fourth ribs, rocking the fingers back and forth to make the sensation drive him crazy.

“Nu,” he muttered between clenched teeth. He wanted to say something else, to curse at them, to perhaps fight back… that was so much his urge, but today the girls decided that any time he did indeed act up, they’d simultaneously tickle his hips, one of his more ticklish areas.

“You’re being pretty brave,” Ursa smiled, running her long, fourteen inch Drakian Feather slowly through his second and third toes. “I’d be going mad with the laughter by now.”

“I’m juhuhust that strong,” he wheezed, tears stinging his eyes. Every time she finally pulled it completely out, the Carian would giggle, and squeal as he whimpered and tried to convince her to leave his toes alone, wiggling his feet this way or that, forgetting Lexi and Kary-Lyn would force his foot still so she could slip the feathery weapon back at its starting spot, and once again drag it down its tickling path.

“Aha, but was that a laugh I heard?” Lexi smiled. She noticed his eyes growing dark, and smirked making to go for his hips.

“No, nu nu, he hissed, his eyes wide. “I’m sohohohorry.” Ray’s bitterness was beginning to overwhelming him. It demanded justice in its dark design. It challenged the boy to listen to it, his master, and rise up. His muscles tightened, and Nina’s hands came down across his shoulders, both tickling them and massaging them.

“Lighten up, Ray-boy,” she said, her voice hard as steel. “Let go of those bitter memories.” Her fingers scribbled across his skin, and wiggled along his neck too.

“Memories can be nice, or horrible, but in the end, that’s all they are,” Grace agreed, her soft feathers stroking the upper areas of his hallows. “The only way they can hurt you, is if you let them. Like a sword that’s normally dull, unless you sharpen it until its brilliance cuts you.”

“Nihihice theor-hehehehehe,” Ray said, his struggles getting weaker. Now only Ursa was playing with his toes. Kary-Lyn had moved over to his abdomen and had worked her fingers up into his shirt, scribbling at his stomach. Lexi was tickling the backs of his knees, giggling as he tried to kick away.

“I hear more giggles,” Lexi teased, cautiously. Her eyes began to shine. “Could it be those cruel cobwebs are finally being yanked away?”

“Shut uhuhup!” Ray barked, her teasing forcing the light back a little bit. All at once he regretted that. The five of them stopped tickling, and managed to flip him onto his back, ten strong hands, fifty able fingers and a few feathers poking and prodding and kneading his hips. Not even a second went by, before Ray began thrashing and howling. “OH MY GAWD! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” His face turned purple, and he tried to struggle away, but was pulled back into what was not much more than a pit of tickling, giggling, girls.

“Bad boys get punished, Ray,” Ursa said. “You let your hate get the better of you, and this is the end result!”

“NO, NUHUHUUHU, HOHOHOHOHO, I’M SOHOHOHOHOHOHOHORRY! OHOHO GAHAHAHAHAWD! YOU FRAHAHAHAHAHAHAGS!” He cried. He managed to roll off the couch, but the girls moved in unison, and now all sat on the floor, surrounding the boy, and continued with his hips.

“Frags, huh?” Lexi laughed. “You know what? You’re a frag. Come on, Ray, lighten up, and let go of that hate!”

“It will only end up making you miserable,” Grace agreed, slipping her feathers along the bare areas of his legs.

“I ALREHEHEHEHEADY AHAHAHAHAM!” He whimpered. He pulled away yet again, scampered across the room, and rolled up into a ball, but the girls were right on his tail, and quickly unrolled him, and then continued tickling his hips. His fingers were dancing in the air, as if he was trying to tickle it, when in fact, he was doing his best to distract himself from the tickling. “YOHOHOHOHOU SAHAHAHAHAID YOHOHOHOHOHOUD STOHOHOHOHP IF I AHAHAHAHAHASKED!” he wheezed out.

“And we will, but after your punishment,” Lexi said. “We’re not normally into doing something like this, but you kinda forced our hands.”

“Such a special case,” Nina agreed. “Such a sad, little boy.”

Ray tried to defend himself in being a man, not a little boy, but laughter was all that would come out of his mouth. For the next five minutes, they tickled him, and he did what he could to take it, fearing if he got away, they’d restart the ‘punishment’ part of his treatment.

After the five minutes, they stopped, and let him lay, until he could get up to his own feet. He swallowed, and stumbled to a chair, sweat trickling off of his face. Kary-Lyn darted out, and came back soon with a glass of Syphus, a soda pop. He downed it, and asked for a second glass. The carbonated sweet water soothing his throat. After that, he was allowed to use the bathroom, and rest if he wanted.

**********

His dreams were always what haunted him the worst. The town in flames, with people screaming in fear and agony. Flesh burning, the clomping of beasts of war pounding the ground. In the distance he could hear the booming of what seemed like thunder, only to be missiles slamming into buildings. Nazalean was burning to the ground, and even the blood of its residents could not drench the flames.

Ray was only three years old, and in his dreams he always walked towards his house, never running, like everyone else. It was as if he were one of the zombies that had been freed only a century earlier. Nazalean had been a small town, northeast of the regional capital of Lair. It had been so peaceful, even more so once slavery had been abolished, but… the nation of Tectian wasn’t one to forget the past. Or forget any injustice it had believed forced on it.

The young boy finally managed to make it to his family house, his grandmother urging him to hurry to the cellar, for safety. But before he could join his large family, there was another boom of thunder… another flash of light, and then his grandmother and mother and father… they were gone, once where there was flesh and blood, were now burning skeletons, they’re mouths agape with flaming tongues and the howls of the wind, singing in despair.

************

Ray awoke with a scream, his face and body drenched in more sweat than what the tickling had left him with. Alora rushed to his side, pushing open the door that separated their rooms, and wrapped her arms around him.

The older sister rocked her brother, holding him like newborn child, and hummed a song that they were both familiar with. She had managed surviving the massacre simply because she’d been visiting a friend at a different city at the time. “Its alright,” she cooed, stroking his hair. “Its okay.” Then to her shock he did something he never did after these dreams. He wrapped his arms around her, still sobbing, and nodded gently.

“I know. Its only a memory. It can … it can only hurt me, if… if I let it,” he said in between gasps.

************

“OHOHOHOHOHOHOHO, CRAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!” Ray was held down by two machines, while the girls worked on him. Kary-Lyn was tickling his ears with a piece of straw, sliding it up and down, following along the edges of his the ears. When Ray shook his head, to get away from the tickling, the mute girl would silently giggle, and either move his head to the right or the left, and old it there, concentrating on one ear.

Ursa laughed and winked at her friend, her index finger stuck right in Ray’s navel, and thrashing it around like a fish on a hook. “Poor widdle worm, its stuck in that mean old rabbit hole pretty good!” she teased.

“IT TIHIHIHIHICKLES TOHOHOHO MUHUHUHUCH, PLEHEHEHEHEASE TAHAHAHKE IT OHOHOHOHOUT!” His tears were rolling down into his mouth, letting him drink his own waterworks. The Carian giggled and obeyed his request, slipping the finger out.

Unfortunately, Nina and Lexi were drawing on his soles with dissolving ink pens. “My rainbow’s prettier than yours,” the young Zerian smiled, teasing Nina.

“I’m not drawing a rainbow, it’s a smiley face,” she teased back, slowly making the lips of the face curve up. Ray shrieked with laughter, and kicked his foot, making the New Kenyian’s pen slip. “Hey up there, cut that out! You’re making me mess it up!”

“Just so long as he doesn’t mess up my rainbow!” Lexi teased. “Or if he did, I’ll have to drag feathers between his toes again!”

“NOHOHOHOHOHOHO, PLEHEHEHEHEASE, NOHOHOHO MORE, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” He managed to free his hand, but only to slap himself on the face, hoping to lessen the tickling. Grace was tickling is knees, back and front!

“He’s getting better, girls,” she teased. “Its been at least four days since I heard him say anything negative.”

“That’s true! One full week, and finally…. finally, he hasn’t really acted violently at all!” Lexi agreed, slowly her foot drawing. She looked up at Ray, and the other girls slowly eased and stopped their tickling.

Ray gasped and grunted for air as the tickling stopped. He occasionally laughed as the sensation stung him from time to time, but he managed to sit up, and wipe his tears. “Thank you…,” he said, his eyes lighting up. There were still shadows there, but he was smiling. “All of you.” He looked down at his feet, and ran his fingers through his hair. “I… I know we’ve got to leave after today… but I’m not quite there… and,” tears began pouring, and his fingers desperately tried to curl into fists. “Is there any way you girls could come to this address and give me one last shot,” he asked… writing down where he was staying in the city, prior to coming here.

The five looked at the address, and then at their notebooks. “I think we’re free next weekend,” Lexi began.

“I have to wait until then?” Ray spat, his eyes flaming. The girls inched from him for a moment, looking at each other. “Oh yes, the hips, I suppose…,” he growled. The fists were back… and then as his arms ached, slowly vanished. “No, no I can’t rely solely on being tickled all the time to cast out my demons… I … know that… so,” he struggled to find the right words, growing angry as they did not come.

Lexi approached and hugged him gently. “You’re making progress, sweetie. I’d be happy to come next weekend to see if we can’t finally get rid of those last cobwebs.”

Each of the girls nodded in agreement. “You’re right, tickling alone won’t help, even playful tickling. You’ve got to help too, and use other instruments.” Nina said. “But one more day with you isn’t such a bad idea. You’ve got some really cute giggles… I’ve had fun!”

“Well, there’s a shocker, miss gloom finding someone to really have fun in this medical art,” Ursa giggled. Her friend glommed her and the six tickled each other for a few minutes more, before Ray turned and finally got up to leave the house.

Never thought the Sweet giggles would ever have to punish somebody. But i guess it was for his own good.
